Aluminium is a good conductor, is ductile, malleable and with a good exterior finish, but it´s mechanical properties are quite low, there for it is only applicable where the strength of the material is not so important.

When we want to change the mechanical properties of the aluminium we mix it with different types of chemical elements permitting us to to adapt the aluminium for its final use.
